I used to own a hi-crop DB 995 years ago, sold it ten years
ago. Talked with a guy while ago that?s wanting to sell a DB
990, supposedly runs really well, asking $2900 and he came
down to $2400 while talking on the phone, would make some
one a great tractor

Has external hydraulics and power steering

When I was in School Ag Mech. class we had a David Brown come in to put a clutch in it. I do not remember the model ? but that was the worst thing to put a clutch into ! They do have a good following among the Mennonite her in Ohio. Seen some sell really good at sales in the past.

I have David Brown Models 780,990 and 1200,also have an Oliver 600 'project' tractor which is the same as the early DB 990.I like them easy to operate and very fuel efficient.

I had an 885 and then a 1490. They both treated me very well and were very fuel efficient and I did very well selling them both

I have an Oliver 500 which is a green David Brown 850. I've had it for almost 30 years now. Super reliable. Rarely had to work on it. Fuel transfer pump, and water pump have had to be replaced. Both easily gotten through the sort of local (~35 miles away) CIH dealer. Filters and such are on the shelf at the local NAPA.

Didn?t need it but for $2200 it?s now sitting in my barn, it was located about 20-22 miles from me. Runs really good and has strong brakes too as well as power steering, I may just keep it awhile instead of flipping it. And for the YT-DOT , that?s the way we haul em in Bama, good straps, lol

You wanna buy a boat grandpa? Got a good ski boat the whole family can enjoy, 350 Chevy inboard, will get up and go...

Grading gravel drive way with 8? box blade, the old gal still full of spunk, thinking about a new coat of lipstick on her with new decals cause right now she?s not very attractive. No blow by and no exhaust smoke, worked her about 45 minutes with box blade, has impressed me enough to find her a spot in the barn for a long stay instead of flipping it for a little profit.

Bought one at an auction, used it for twenty years and sold it for more than I paid. Wanted a cab tractor, so I let it go. Pretty good return on investment. Still missed it so I picked up a Case 1294, which is a DB in Case clothes. Good buy for you. Good luck!

Always hook your straps inside of the outside rail if it has one. In a sideswipe accident, the straps will be torn off otherwise.

rip, you should post a link to the chain strap extenders and perhaps also the hooks that can be installed in stake pockets. My trailer is built exactly like the one pictured and none of my strap hooks, as they come from the store, will not hook on the inside. They are just a little too big.
