More plowing

Was finally able to get the last little field plowed last night. This part is always wet and tough and was still wet in some spots last night. We have been about 10 days without rain here. Should get it planted tomorrow. I was thinking this might not get done this year.

No, this is going to be seeded to hay with oats as a cover. This late I'll likely cut the oats for hay.

Jon it all looks just great. You are certainly bringing this farm back into production. I wish we had some of your weather, things are not good here in Southern Ontario, far too much rain, and far too often. Will you sell the hay crop? Or thinking about a few head of cattle.

Going to have some cattle, but will sell some too. I only want a few head and maybe a few pigs.

Really nice looking job Jon. Yes, it looks wet but it is June, you take what you can get.

I got rained out early Tuesday morning, then had more rain Tuesday night. I tried Wednesday afternoon, no go. I am heading out here in a few minutes to see if it will go. I have about 12 acres left to do. This is all ridge land and most heavy clay. It will be interesting to see how many springs I find coming out of the ridges.

There are two springs in this place, but on the other side in the sand. You can really get stuck in those.
