Broke off marker mon night in a wash out went back to shed fixed it then got back in field and lost power to markers fixed that then it was getting dark and couldn't see the marker in dark was almost ready to quit farming completely then I see this pic of someone having a worse time my corn is in the ground dad and grandpa probably looking down shaking their heads but it won't quit raining here

Convenient that it happened right next to somebody's lawn- will give the folks at the barbecue something to talk about. Unless its the tractor guy's lawn, then probably mum's the word.

I got stuck Saturday night but nothing like that. We just threw a heavy chain and a bigger tractor on the front of the planter tractor and kept going 'til we got thru. Didn't plug the planter just spun out and didn't have room to turn downhill. Gave the neighbors something to talk about

I don't know how you get a tractor stuck that deep. Once it gets up to the rim, you aren't going anywhere with an implement on it. It's best to disconnect and use a chain or cable to pull it past the wet spot, or pull it backwards. That's gonna take a lot of time to get that out, and there's a lot of risk of damage or injury.

A Man's gotta know his limitations...

Maybe the right marker caught the fence was what pulled him down. About got an 8420 with a 24 row stuck Monday. The other guy got an IH sprayer stuck but the Cat got him out. I told my boss that he should rename the farm Camp Swampy. I said instead of cash rent, they would have to pay me to farm it. Some of this is a half quarter away from a ditch. Still got beans to plant and wettest ground is last in central IL.
