Nice! Gotta love an old 8n.
Didn't know what a cool little
tractor they were until we got
one. We were box blading with
ours at my folks this evening.

8Ns get a underserved bad rap. I'm tired of it. I just used mine to load a 8000W genset into the truck, along with my spark welder. Last week I was using it to lift the rear of my trailer to renew the brake solenoids. Did some bush hogging last month when the rain let up for a bit.

I don't know how I ever survived without it once I got it sorted out.

Never had a Ford-n tractor, but had a Ferguson TO-30. I liked that a lot. Wish I'd kept it. Although, not sure how well it would've worked out with our normally soft and wet conditions here.

They are good, handy small tractors.
What ruined them for me was their
alarmingly, amazingly, ludicrously FAST
reverse speed. When I traded up to an 8N
from a 2N I was so disapointed in that
reverse speed I soon traded up again and
bought my first 3 cylinder Ford.
Some say, "Put a Sherman Combo
transmission in it. Then you can step
down the reverse speed."
They are right of course.
But by the time you do that you might as
well trade up to a 600 or newer Ford and
get a more useable reverse plus several
other upgrades as well - live hydraulucs
for example.

As you know,I didnt use it much,,having the 2000,,but I drove it to my friends place,,(about 5 miles away),,and left it there,,One thing I Can say,,its way better than nothing! lol

I use a Jubilee to mow yards. I think
the Jubilee and woods finish make a good
lawn mower.

Last time after a good rain I moved an
rolled a 2 acre yard at a rental
property.

The places with no grass used to be mole
hills.
