three instrument lights stay on, air filter, trans. temp, and oil pressure. can't get them off and can't figure it out.

I know nothing specific to your machine, but typically there's a diode connected to each indicator light, and the cathode ends are connected in common and connect to a "lamp test" terminal on the ignition switch that is grounded as the key is turn slightly to wards the "crank" position to cause all the warning lamps to illuminate as a "lamp test".

Likely, something is shorted to ground in that diode area, or the wire has fallen of the ignition switch and is shorting, or the ignition switch has failed, or someone has connected wires wrong, or installed an incorrect ignition switch. Or???

Checked all that you pointed
out, no lose wires, nothing
going to ground. This is a
mistery
