Anyone remember John close he use to refurbish welders ? I asked on here a couple years ago about my miller 200le welder generator it would make power on the outlets but it wouldn?t make enough juice to weld John (the carvel Minnie farmer ) responded and sent me these stones free of charge from Canada to clean up the commutator rings . Well it?s been a long time and now John is gone but hopefully next week I can finally follow up to my original post and let him know if it worked or not I?m sure it will because the commutator rings were black as well anyway there are a shiny brass color now . I had to order a new starter from eBay and also new plugs for the leads they?re a smaller size than anything available locally .

LENCO welding products are made at Jackson, Missouri, near where I live. They supply oem parts for many companies. At one time they built some low priced transformer welders

My Miller NT 251 Trailblazer sat for quite some time. I saw the blue arc from the commutator rings, they were tarnished. I used scotch brite while it was running and something to press down gently with, it cleaned and polished those rings in short order. I just used care while in there while it was running.

Looks like a Miller AEAD.
Is it run by 2 cylinder Onan?
I just brought mine back down from my peoperty yesterday.
Hasn't been run for a couple of years so I'll need to mess with it a bit I suppose.
I bought mine almost new in 1981.
Put a new short block in it once.
You don't have an extra gas tank you want to sell do you?
I was dumb. Used the tank for a temporary tank on a tractor. It fell off and I ran over it.

Miller aead 200 LE . I?ve had this one four or five years when the Starter gets here hopefully it?ll work . I don?t have any extra parts

Billy I was going to do that but John sent me these stones said the emery cloth wouldn?t be as good . The commutator rings on mine were so black it took about ten minutes to get them shined up

I had one of these welders on a service truck when I was doing mine equipment maintenance. It was good for all the things I needed it to do,except handling an air arc when gouging out cracks to weld. That really put it to the test. I was an excellent welder and had a real good steady 5 Kw generator also.

Wow, they must have had quite the coating, I don't think mine were nearly as bad. I had asked on tool talk about this and the suggestions were what you did and the scotch brite.
