Understand this tractor going on auction block on June 22. In mint condition for a 1970 tractor, looks like just came off dealer lot. These were top of line diesel tractor back in the day being rated 170 on the PTO. Apparently many were sold without 3 pt as this one is. The ones painted red were destined for Canadian dealers, green and yellow ones sold in the States. This sale has many MM farm implements, combines, plows etc on the auction also. These units still running would appear to be rare in number, especially red ones. Wonder what it will bring ?

I think that is a picture of the A4T-1900 prototype with an 800 CuIn LP engine in it that was recreated by the engineer on the project Mike Verhulst assisted by Dave Ritenburgh and shown at the Farm Progress Show.

A neighbor a couple miles down the road has a green one like that, don't know the number. He uses it some most years.

JK2 you are correct. The tractor pictured is an A4T-1900 prototype, not listed on the sale bill. There is an A4T-1600 listed on the sale bill which does look like a 49 yr old tractor. I don't think A4T-1900's were ever sold on the mass market for whatever reasons. Not sure the hp on the one pictured it would be higher than the 170 in the 1600 tractor, because of the bigger engine. Thanks for that information JK2,could not see the model number in the original picture.

Buddy had one-had a turbo on his-twisted the input shaft three times-finally traded for a Stieger.---Tee
