...sack full of hammers? Bought these at a sale today. They were a package so no picking and choosing but I am good with that because I really seem to be a sucker for old hammers. So here is a selection of fender bangers. I have seen all of these before and probably own all but one of them if I took the time to look. That one on top is a new one to me. Crazy long pick on one end. I can just never seem to walk away from an old specialty hammer. Everybody has their weaknesses I guess. Handy things with a hand dolly when you have to take dents out of sheet metal.

bet you find a wood handle for the orphan. :)

I've got a new set that I ordered from Harbor Freight but it'll take a lot of years before they have that much character.

What always gets ya is when some numb skull uses a fender hammer to drive in nails. Man that ticks me off.

I Too am a Sucker for a hammer and a hatchet. I can't stand to see someone use a claw hammer to do metal work or a ball peen hammer to do wood work. It is just me but my H.S. Shop teacher had a lot to do with that! Dsmythe

I am always on the look out for body hammers. I would gladly take the top two off your hands. I have been looking for the top one for a while. New those are #30 to $40 hammers. I have a mix of old ones I have found at rummage sales and Harbor Freight ones. The HF ones are handy because I grind the heads to what profile I want and don't feel like I am destroying a good hammer. I stopped by my neighbor a few years ago and he was using one like your top one for chipping weld slag. The hammer was pretty beat up but I offered to buy it. No deal he liked it for a slag chipper.

Looks kind of like that, but actually I believe those are all for auto body work. There are an assortment of handheld steel dollys (think tiny anvil) that you can hold on one side while you work the other. Some good videos on youtube. It is a real art.

Not only was that interesting but the ones in the sidebar were equally cool. One there I never saw...didnt even look like a hammer.

That top one can do an amazing amount of damage in a short time in the hands of an enthusiastic rookie.
