Ferguson TO35- starting issue

Good day, folks! I have a 58 TO35, Z134 gas. Last week I went to start it and it cranked for 1/2 second, then nothing. No clicks, no response whatsoever. The next day, it cranked another half second, but then zero response and nothing on the thousand tries since.

I've done the following so far:
Rewired everything (Including battery)
New starter solenoid
New ignition switch and button start
Had the starter tested, its getting old and it's not perfect, but it spun on the tester.
Tried a different battery
Yelled at it

Ill put a multimeter on it this weekend and see if something isn't getting power.

Now I'm lost and throwing myself at your mercy. If you have any ideas, please share.

To be clear, it acts like there is no power to anything. No clicks, nothing spins, no noise at all.

Thank you!!

If everything goes dead, good chance the problem is a poor battery connection.

Check the connection at the ground strap to the sheetmetal by the battery. A common fix is to go with a longer cable connected directly to the engine block.

When checking with a volt meter or test light, check with the circuit under load, as in while holding the starter button. A weak connection will often return to normal once the load is removed, that's why it needs to be tested under load.

I prefer a test light over a volt meter for chasing bad connections. The light is easier to see, not as sensitive as a meter.

Just be absolutely sure it is in neutral and stay clear of moving parts, it could try to crank any time!

I have a TO35 and every now and then the neutral safety switch will not have good connection. I wiggle the wires and it's good to go.

A multimeter or test light can find it and is a thousand times better than guessing and throwing parts at it.

I used a test light to check my connections. The ground is good and power is getting to the solenoid. When I engage the ignition and starter button, no power makes it from the starter button to the solenoid and there is, of course, no power from the solenoid to the starter. The ignition key and starter button are both new.

I made sure all the wiring was secure and re-checked the wiring diagram in my manual. Still at a loss.

Does the generator or voltage regulator have a role in getting power to the starter?

Any more ideas? I appreciate all the help so far and any other suggestions. Thank you!

Found the problem today and fixed it. The ammeter had power to one side, but was not flowing current out, disabling the ignition switch. Running like a dream again, thank you folks for the help.
