Easy to do what with the planting season being compressed into about six hours in many places this year, Most farmers have more acres than ever to cover and will not see much profit if it all isn't planted at ideal time for optimum yield and better harvest prices. Hope no one was injured in this case.

Lots of stuff like that. Across a paved road with a chisel plow in the ground, in the ditch, a pond or creek. One where a tractor hit a power line. Almost every case the "operator" was reading, playing games, texting, maybe watching a movie.

Hate to tell you this but it's coming.

Bet that sprayer wound up in the drink because the HUMAN operator was taking selfies or texting or as someone suggested snoozing. Could have been playing a game on his smart phone or watching a movie. Could have been a disgruntled employee who set it up, turned on the auto steer and bailed out. In fact with as long as auto steer has been out I bet if it was failure the operator failed to take control. That would make it operator error.

For everyone of those, there are 100 due to texting while driving. I was forced right off the road while driving a tri-axle dump by a kid that had his head down and failed to turn when he got to the curve. I see self driving vehicles saving a lot of lives.

I saw a guy try to take 60 foot booms through a pair of transmission line poles. Guess they were about 12 feet apart. Long before gps. You get tired and forget what you are doing. Also saw a year old combine eat a half mile of barb wire fence. Again long before auto steer
