Walmart sells DAP Silicone Max adhesive. It is rated for short-term food contact so is safe for the seal. I used it to repair a split about 2 inches long on the side of the door. It does not lose its flexibility and flexes with the seal. Been on about 8 months with no problem.

You might try your local refrigeration supply house and see if they have bulk door gasket. I replaced some on the walk in coolers at work a long time ago.
