Massey Ferguson 245 vent tube smoking

Hello anyone, Is it common to get smoke and small minor oil accumulation out of the valve cover vent tube... or is that what is known as
"blow-by"?

Thanks in advance,

Some smoke/vapor is normal.

What you don't want to see is a sudden increase in smoke, one cylinder puffing more than the others, frothy oil and coolant coming from the tube, or excess oil blowing. Any of these combined with poor idle, loss of power, or plug fouling is reason for concern.

If the crankcase is pressurizing, blowing oil out the dipstick, or increased seal leakage, the vent tube may need to be removed and cleaned.
