Got another tractor

Well....most of one. Massy Ferguson 35, diesel. Was in near perfect condition. Needed the injection pump rebuilt. Our preacher took it to a friend's house to have the work done, and someone stole the tractor. They took it to the scrap yard where it was unloaded with the claw. Ask yourself why they didn't just roll it down the ramp?!?! Preacher saw it at the scrap yard and had to get police involved to get it back. I wanted it for the rear tires, for my 8n. Looks like I'm going to trade tractor for a couple tires. My wife is relieved that I'm not going to have a wreck in our yard ,parting out!

Look at the busted off steering arm, on one side and the bend in other side. What a shame for a couple hundred bucks of crack!

They do that so no one can use it again. I have seen it done to running cars/trucks and beat or drop tractors on ground several times. Scrap yards get kick back from government for getting old stuff out of circulation.

Stolen tractor, saved at the last minute from the jaws of death? Police involved. And a preacher. Crooks apprehended!

"Got another tractor"

You gotta "sell" it, man! Sell it! No, I don't mean the tractor!

Suggest this:

Stolen MF 35 saved by the law!!

RedMF40, I forgot to mention that
the shade tree mechanic was thrown
in jail, that's why it was easy
for the crack head to steal the
tractor from his yard......

Hahaha it only gets better!

I'm going to have to call "bull" on that. The Govt. is NOT paying scrap yards for destroying tractors. And that's NOT the mandated way that they destroyed the "cash for clunkers" cars.

The required practice under cash for clunkers was to put a sodium silicate solution in the crankcase and run the engine until it seized. You can look it up if you care to.

This is an example of why it is worth the money to take stuff to a legitamate repair shop. Not only did it not get fixed, he got it back as scrap. Wonder if it was worth the money saved? I had a customer nearly loose his diesel truck because he took it to a guy in a barn for a transmission rebuild, because he "used to work at a transmission shop and was cheap". Mechanic ended up on jail, he was on rented property, girlfriend refused to give the truck back because she said her boyfriend owned it, law claimed they had no power. Owner finally got his truck back when girlfriend was evicted and property owner let him have it back. Truck had one door bent backwards and the "mechanic" had sold the transmission and transfercase.
