Surely someone has dealt with this. I can?t find much on the inter-webs

My chore truck is a 35 Chevy with the original 207 and carb and distributor. Obviously the vacuum advance diaphragm is long gone. I can?t seem to find one for that exact year as they made lots of changes by year back then. Does anyone know of a distributor I can swap in from another engine or just a vacuum canister I can put on? I run old VWs and hoped that one of those canisters would work but it would take lots of modification. Lots.

Right now I just run with the timing more advanced overall and more choke when it is colder out but it isn?t a stellar solution. The oil dilutes pretty quick in the winter. Anyone hot rod one of these or have an idea? I doubt anyone has fixed theirs to drive everyday, but I?m game for anything.

When I need stovebolt info I ask here:

Lots of knowledgeable Chevy folks over there.

I'm sure there is someone who can restore them. IMO I'd ask on the AACA FB page or forum as we are a club that cherishes original features and cars much rarer than a '35 Chevy have had parts made, so they'll know both what fits and how to get the original repaired so you can gauge your options.
