What is the big difference in the 81 and 22? Have seen both but the 22 was more popular. There was also a 20 thanks and by the way you have quite a collection.

The 81 was replaced by the 20 which in turn was replaced by the 22!!! The 81 & 20 were quite similar, both had the same louvered grille, 81 had the 124 cu in motor, early 20 also used the 124, later models used the 140 cu in motor!!! The 22s had the flat bar grille (like the colts, mustangs, 30s and 44s etc), and it used the the 140 motor!!! There might be some other minor differences also!!! A lot of parts including ?some? of the tin body panels are interchangeable between the 3 models!!! All three used the steel channel type front frame, instead of the cast formed frame like 30s, 44s etc!!!

My 1938 101 that I finished several months ago!!! Just starting on my 101 Sr!!!

WOW. Really nice. We had two 44's and a 444 on the farm I grew up on. They got a lot of hard use and always ran and came back for more.

Where are you located?

Paul

44M ..... beautiful, no question one of the classic tractor designs of all times. Are those new side covers? I would bet that they are, a lot of farmers just chucked them aside, those that kept them eventually destroyed them for guys 70 years later who wanted to restore the tractor.

No those are the original side covers or so appeared to be! Actually all the panels are original!!! I?m located in northeast Nebraska!!! Thank you for the compliments!!!
