With all the rain we've been having, we got three straight days of Sunny skies. Mowed a hilltop Monday, tedded Tue, raked & baled 200 bales Wed. Kind of early but lots of horses were expecting me to have at it. Should have done 600 but just thankful to bale any.

Here in south jersey the orchard grass is at about 85% ready. Nice heads just needs a but more height. Now if people could get four or five days of beauty!

Congrats to you Wolfman for getting some high quality squares in. I wish I were you with hindsight being 20-20. I wonder where you got your meteorology degree as surely when you mowed (monday?) there were showers in the forecast for the Tues and Wednes (which never came but sunshine did). This is really early and I saw a couple other guys mowed rye for baleage and not dry hay. You can now be sure that in June when there are 6 straight days of wall to wall sunshine forecast that you will get rained on.....
