Did Chrysler try to get into the tractor market like GM, trying to keep up with Ford? Or is this just a tractor fitted with a Chrysler motor?

Chrysler had a surplus of engines after the war. Simpson was one of several companies that used them in tractors along with dodge transmissions left over from 2 ton truck production. The Simpson was built in California .

Didn't a lot of combines use Chrysler motors a long time after the war ? Also how about the Custom tractors ? We tried one out with a Chrysler engine and fluid drive. I remember that I really liked that tractor.

That's a fine looking tractor!
The flathead Chrysler six was a real good engine.
I bet this thing had lots of power.....might be a bit thirsty for
gas though.
