I have what I think is a Ford 2000 series tractor. Here are the numbers:
B1013C
8M20B
*C225953*
This tractor caught on fire and burned most of the wiring. Trying to replace the wiring harness but having
a time getting the correct one. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

How original was the electrical system?

How original do you need to keep it?

If you are trying to keep it show original, then finding the correct wiring harness would be an advantage.

But if it has been changed to an alternator, or you might want to change it over to an alternator, or update to a one wire alternator, with basic wiring knowledge, a wiring diagram, and a little research, a wiring harness can easily be made.

I would rather make my own than try to modify one that was not quite the same.

the numbers you give translate to -

B1013C is a 2000

B10 = B10 (210) 2000 All purpose 1965-1975
1 = Diesel
3 = Live 540 rpm
C = 8x2 speed manual (4x1 + hi/low)

8M20B is your build date of December 20,1968 second shift

serial number of C225953 agrees with 1968

Thanks so much. This just what I needed. It?s my father in laws tractor and he was told it was a 76 when he bought it many years ago. He has had a stroke and can?t do the work himself and is having a hard time remembering a lot of things. Turns out the harness we purchased was the correct one after all. We borrowed a JD to finish breaking up the ground and I?m ready to get this Ford going.
