CaseIH 145 Roll-Over Plow Cylindar Control Valve

Can someone explain to me how the rollover cylinder and control valve with check valve work with the tractors SCV. I ran my JD 4250 with Case-IH Roll-Over Plow yesterday, pictures to come, but the plow tends to roll out of position at the stop over time. I am thinking something is leading back. I guess it could be the SCV but it does not do that with my JD 4200 Roll-Over Plow.

The Case-IH 145 rollover Plow has a valve block tightly coupled to the cylinder (15). I see in the parts list it has a check valve in it (16, not in picture). So, I am wondering if that check valve could be leaking. I would like to understand better how that system works.

Rolling the plow over does not work like the Owners Manual says it should. I roll it and it bounces back and forth when it hits the end the the cylinder stroke. I just have to time my moving the lever with the bounce to get it to complete the stroke.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure somebody will be along shortly to correct me, but something about running a plow designed for open circuit hydraulics on a tractor with a closed circuit system seems to be an issue in my thinking.

How can a single or dual pilot check valve function when both sides of the coupler are subject to high pressure at time of operation. Has to be a pressure differential in there somewhere in order for that lock valve to shut.

I think you are on the rite track, but I don't know if JD has a way to adjust for that situation or if the plow valve can be changed from CC to OC operation.

Thanks so much for the support ACG. If Paul 2510 could hook it up to a tractor like an IH or better yet a Case I'd like to be there to see if anything changes.

I dint run a valve on the cylinder of either of my red plows And no problems. The ih and case tractors have substandard hydraulic systems to say the least that?s why they have bandaid fixes like valves on plows is to compensate for a tractor that doesn?t have enough adjustment built into the hydraulic system so we have to add a valve or other Mikey mouse fix
