It's Alive - 1953 IH R112

Ultimately determined my exhaust was clogged and why it wouldn't run on it's own and was spitting fuel everywhere. Small clip below of it running on its own for the first time in 35 years. Open manifold. No exhaust pipe on it. Giggled like a school kid.

Leaking water from under the pump pretty badly. Need to finish the wiring. Otherwise it seems to run good and I shifted through all gears (4 speed on the floor). Good oil pressure. Want to let it idle with some seafoam in it and then change oil/filter again, retorque head bolts and check/adjust valves.

I can't figure out how to embed a youtube video so here is a link. Hopefully it works.

Good stuff ..... if you post another video, don't be afraid to get a bit closer, I know those old trucks are cranky but they don't bite .... LOL !!

Sounds good I am an IHC truck guy. have restored 2 1975 D-200 have a 3rd one I am only going to refresh the 345 and use it to cut firewood. The KB-2 I am presently working on is quite a challenge...I may be dead before it gets done.

I originally had a 3 year plan for this truck but before diving in I determined I didn t have enough patience and thought I might lose interest or get lost with it or spend every free moment I have on it and I d go nuts. I have at least 250 hours in it the past 6 months and it should be on the road soon and run good mechanically but it s not pretty.
