Rate chart for gravel.....

HMMM if it worked? Then it's not foolish. It's innovation!

We have a tendency to laugh at people who may not be a knowledgeable about something as we are. But the guy you are laughing at may have written the program that runs you computer or may be the guy who stitches up our dumb mistakes in the ER. Could be the guy who's going to do yer's or your dad's bypass. Let see you do that! Heck he could be the guy who delivered the stuff you bought at the store or ran the machine that makes it. Maybe runs a company that hires 100's if not 1000's of people.

There are lots of uses for spreaders.

I have a Fisher 8ft 2 yard SS spreader on my 1 ton plow truck which I use for salt and sand. I have used it for different jobs, We just used it to fill sandbags here to prevent flooding. Just remove the spinner and put the bag under the chute. I have also used it for top dressing my lawn. Have used it to fill potholes with GA along the edge of our private road. Same thing remove spinner and drop it out the chute into the hole. Or to fill the wash out along the pavemmnet. used it to pickup wood chips for landscaping. Sometimes you need to think outside the box.Works better then a shovel.

That's a very true statement. Especially in this age when everything is so specialized. I used to have an attitude that many would call a know it all or even arrogant. But one day I decided to listen to other people's thoughts and ideas. Even if they were dumb and foolish. You know I learned quite a bit that way.

I would say for that to work it would have to be a pea type of gravel that isrounded with no edges as crusher run type would not roll out but just pack. And we don't want the pea gravel for a drive as it will just roll out of drive and not pack.

Yea but just because he may screw it up doesn't mean the guy is stupid. Who knows? Guy could be a neurosurgeon? Or maybe knowledgeable in a half dozen things he's trained in that you would be in a total loss. Might be one of the GMO scientists. That's all I'm saying. I think most of us have made an error or 2 and learned from it. They use to call it the "school of hard knocks".

Want to get around some screwy people? Get around engineers. Those folks think way different than the rest of the world. But look what they can do!
