Well, at least as heavy as it gets to plow my one acre garden.

Nice looking rig.

For spring plowing looks very dry to me, really never get dry here in spring you just gotta go when you can make it across....

Dad bought a new plow just like that in 1966, behind a 2510. Great plow, in that it pulled straight. Several years later, he traded it for the same model 4 bottom when he got a bigger tractor. That was a terrible plow, as you couldn't make it pull right. They simply added a bottom to the three bottom frame, and the draft was off.

Try that here and you would be working crushed stone rocks all year. Never get it in condition to plant.

Bob I wonder if your dad's 4 bottom was assembled wrong at the dealer as we had 5 or 6 different f145 4 bottom plows and several 5 bottoms and never had any problems with the draft being off. I plowed lots of acres with a f145 4 bottom behind a 3020 diesel. I also used a plow like above with my 2510 diesel. Tom

Political comments are not allowed on the site. I don't know why you have to go from plowing the garden the politics. Give it a rest.

No. The frame was the same as the three bottom. You could move things and make a little difference, but not enough. Maybe if a bottom was dropped to make a 4 out of a 5, it would have been all different.

Good job. I understand it being a little wet and agree with Paul. If I waited for a field to be dry it would be July or August. Plow it and wait a day or so for it to dry then disc right before next rain.

I have a 4 bottom f145 and no draft problems with it either I haven?t pulled in a lot of years just because the two way plow is a lot nicer on odd shaped fields

Very nice looking job of plowing.
I have the Case competitor to your 4020. A 931 pulling 5x18 in burned down alfalfa sod ground, first pic., and unharvested beans in second pic. due to cold wet fall and early snow fall, and mildew in bean pods.
