OT - Hi temp glue

We have a set of pots that we used to make Dinosaur stew and soup in. The handle (where the screw goes through) has (over time) failed on two of them. I made a Teak replacement on the small double boiler, but it can only be used as such due to the gas stove/heat. Any I ideas ? I used regular Gorilla glue on the second one, but the heat made it fail. Thanks

Jb weld makes a extreme heat glue. Good up to 2400 degrees F. I have some exhaust manifold repair glue I got at napa and it seems to bind extremely well.

Other than the time it takes to fit it, what is wrong with the wooden one you made? Looks good and they have used wood handles for pots and pans since the beginning of time. If screwed on it will take the heat up to and including boiling in the pan. Our Pressure caner has wood handles from WWII.

Not really. Their best is 400?F and intermittent heat exposure to 550?F No polymer (including teflon) can get into the thousands. Jim
