Several Farmall 100 and 140 tractors with 1 pt fast hitch running none went over $1000.Jacobsen with Ford motor,3pt and PTO $700,New Holland 256 rake with dolly wheels looked real nice
$650.A line of IH 1 pt equipment most went under $100.I bought a good looking Gravely Super Convertible with sulky and mower $110,two cultipackers $45 each, nice bunch of hand tools like shovels,maddox,picks and groups of 3's for $5 for the group.Bought my wife a pedal sewing machine in working condition,she has been wanting one for $25.
 
A New Holland square baler think it might have been a model 68 in really nice shape bought $225,I'd of bought that and the rake but I have 2 NH 256 rakes in good condition and
a Oliver 62-T square baler in good shape.NH 311 sold for around $800 in good condition might have been enough for that though.
 
Those 256 rakes do a good job. We have one without dolly wheels. Dad bought it new and said dolley wheels will knock the leaves off the alfalfa.

I'm in Central VA near Charlottesville just over the Blue Ridge mts from New Market.Monticello, Ash Lawn,Montplier the Dupont Estate are all pretty close to me.Bridgewater and Berryville
both have their shows in July.Berryville is really good.
 
You're right about backing the rake with dolly. We had a JD. 640 with wheel and every time to put it in the shed you have to unhook and call the kids to come push it in by hand. Also I do much ditch hay and many times I back up 50 ft. because There is a little hay that didn't get raked.
 
Consignment auction -- N fords are bringing 500.00 to 750.00 if they run and stop. Not like they were 2 years ago.
 
Where was the sale? You going to Berryville in July? I'll likely be there when it starts Friday.
 
Southside VA about 15 miles Southwest of Farmville.I'd like to get up to Berryville good show,but I'll have to see how things are going here closer to the time.
 
They are the small wing cultipackers only about 4ft wide.They'll sell good to guys putting in wildlife plots because they can pull them with a 4 wheeler.Got the Gravely started runs like a top cut some grass with it.
