The $35 CASE sickle mower

Went to the rust sale today, had my eye on the antique CASE. After some brief but very fierce bidding, it was mine. I ended up buying a seat and some netting to keep deer away from my fruit trees. With auction fees and sales tax everything came to a little under $45, so I'm pleased. And was able to put in a half day's work before the sale. Here are some detail pictures highlighting the homegrown fixes from the past. Haven't been able to crack open the toolbox yet, looking forward to seeing if anything is in there.

Going to be a piece of yard art.

Nope nope nope I would be out there fixing it just for the challenge. It
doesn't look that bad. When you run out of carter pins that will work. Soak it
in used motor oil for a few weeks.

(quoted from post at 20:21:36 04/20/19) A number of years back I bought just the toolbox lid at a boneyard for $10. Looks nice hanging on the wall.

This was frozen shut. I'm guessing someone tried to pry it open and ended up breaking that corner off. Ruined an otherwise good toolbox.
