I am back up on high ground plowing again today. Great 360 views from the tractor cab. The wifey took the first 2 pictures of me cresting the hill when she brought my lunch, and my camera to me. I forgot my camera when I left the house this morning.

These are my views from the tractor seat as I am plowing today. The furrows are running NNE and SSW.

My cousin started secondary tillage with the disc and 7220 today, Made a little dust fly. The ground is near perfect for conventional tillage. I moved down to another strip of bean ground. This whole hill is strip cropped.

Several people mentioned that there were no rocks. Well here is one of the piles of rocks that have been picked off these fields over the last 100 years.

That is all for today folks-----Loren

Thank you, nice pics.

The 2 inches of rain today didn?t even melt all the snow drifts in the field. It will be a long, long time until I can do anything like that.

We have several roads under water of closed for mud slides.

Yes great day here today! I did get to till my garden, looks like it was so warm you were able to plow with the cab door open?

Nice picturesque pics. Maybe some day I will have the opportunity to view the countryside from the tractor cab. If I took a picture from my highest hill all the picture would show is miles of open fields with only a handful of farm sites miles away.

Great pics, Loren.

Brings back fond memories of our farming days. I usually took lunch out to my husband too.

Kevin; You better hurry!! I am on the (down hill side) so to speak,of the 239 acres that I have to plow this spring.
Do you think one of those little Fords could pull a plow from one end of these fields to the other in a half day??? HeHe

Gee Loren, I'm trying to get my bearings from your pics, it was 4, years ago I came out to your place, but I don't remember those big fields? Were they behind your sugar shack? I know you took us on a trip, but I don't remember all you showed us! We have a bear running around here, pulled my bird feeder down, so my daughter gave me instructions to hang it up in the daytime and take it inside in the evening!

She drew these pics for me, lol, smart kid. Not the best spelling, but she's doing good,
That's me on the ladder while she watches me!!!

Nice Loren ! Your area looks a lot like ours with the hills, fields and woods. I used to love plowing ! We haven't done it in a bunch of years and really need to rework our fields. We are only doing hay now and dad had the fields reseeded no till. I can almost smell the fresh turned dirt !
