I would be so grateful for help figuring out any info about this tractor

Check out Avery Ro-Trac. Might be it. If so very very rare. I have only seen pictures of them. Convertable from wide to narrow front without changing parts. Think Farm Collector or Antique Power had artical on them years back.

I'd guess it was some kind of a home made yard tractor that somebody cobbed together ..... starting with some kind of a front axle of some
kind and then started adding parts as he went along robbing from whatever he came across. That tin work, well let's just say it might have
originated from the Starship Enterprise. I think the Avery mentioned would have been much bigger than that. It would be interesting to
know what kind of engine it has in it.

What we know is hurculies bxb 2 cylinder engin, Jeep trans, stuwat updated/reinforced frame, front nose is cast and two sifisticated to be home made. Clutch is Rusenburg.

Yes the rear end very easy to narrow or widden. There is a continuous spline internal 4 bolts on each side and the tracroe can be widne or narrowed.

Thank you for the tip I will look in that. We have had the tractor since the late 50's
