Saw this a 8n on our shopping trip today. $1700! Wow. I almost feel bad that I paid so little for mine last week!

Picture makes it look better. She is rough!!
P.s. we ain't tractor shopping everyone at our house needs new jeans!!

Old tractors ain't worth what people seem to think they are worth. There is a Farmall H on local Craigslist for $4,300 "FIRM". Been on there for almost two years. He started out at "$5K FIRM"

Everybody thinks because there old there collectable. They forget the H and M Farmall sold more units then any other tractor model made.

This second one is closer to value, but why did they mount the tire backwards?

The rough one looks to have a good rear tire, but it may be weather checked with closer inspection? Sadly the cost of tires these days, a good set of rears could double the value of a scrap tractor......

And what is more sobering is this: 25 years ago that amount of dollars was worth 2x more than our deflation reduced currency.

I can get rears for an 8n for $225 each. Still.......runs the price right past the value.

why did they mount the tire backwards?

Probably took it somewhere and they didn't know direction of rotation. I had to knock a front tire down last week and remount it. There was a flap loose on the center rib of a triple rid tire and it was opening up when it came around instead of closing. Believe it or not,with it mounted so it was opening,it made the front tires shimmy.

Looks like a new paint job on the wheel since they got a lot of the tire too,so it probably came off a parts tractor from the opposite side.

You might think the first one is over priced.
But I bet the second one is non-existant, just try to buy it and you will get some coocoo story run around.

I don't know about this one but I have the tires on my combine mounted backwords so I can never get very far in the mud and can always back out.
