Follow up to D5 blade question

I am 99% sure that the blade I was trying to identify is a Dakota blade. Found one on a D4 that still has the stickers showing. Thinking that the
numbers mean the following, 366 serial number? 141 is the inches wide the blade is, and the AT stands for angle and tilt option. Does anyone have
any other ideas? Got the tractor moved home now I need to service it and get it put to work. Thanks, Mike

That thing has an interesting cab. A winter time dozer. I can see the heater hoses running along the fresh air intake. Someone spent some time and money rigging the thing up. What is the gauge right over the steering levers?

The gauge over the steering levers is the tachometer. I think the lines you see running into the cab are for the air conditioning, no heater on this one. Some of the ag cats have heaters but usually if you have a cab to block the wind there is enough heat coming off the tranny and rear end to keep it pleasant inside.

Rlund what's the Oliver in pic #3 that is a nice cat wouldn't have much use for it around here only get a good snow coupla times in ten years. 83* yesterday 63* today

I see that the tractor was originally sent to the dealer in LaCrosse, WA. Are you in that area? The background in the photos looks the part, and the tractor looks like the ones used in the Palouse wheat fields. I used to go through there on trips to and from Washington State U from "the coast" back in the '60's. John Schoeff was in my frat (AGR).

That really surprises me, air conditioner in those days was nice, I just figured heater. That really makes it a nice little dozer, enjoy it.

Makes sense, angle tilt dozer, AT.
This one does look like it started off an Ag tractor, does it have the smaller idlers and is it direct drive? I forget by serial number.

Definitely not meant to be in the brush and or woods, but is a nice variation of a great model tractor.

Cool that you were able to deduce it's a Dakota Dakota dozer kit. That mold board sure does not have a lot of curve to it.

Yes I live about halfway between Dusty and Lacrosse, don?t recognize the name John Schoef but I have only been down here since ?91. Yes the tractor was used in the Palouse wheat fields, dozer likely pushed more snow than dirt, Mike

Tractor likely spent half of its 10,000 hours pulling rod weeders in the heat of summer. July and August temps often break into low 100?s and 90?s are normal so air conditioned cabs were very popular around here.

Cool, direct drive, oil bath clutch, one of Caterpillars "bulletproof" designs. Direct drive was suited for draw bar work. Should last you as long as you need it.
