I pulled the rockshaft housing off the 4020 today to get a better look at more bearing still haven?t found a bad one . I can see the left carrier bearing but not the right side I think I?ll jack up the right and spin the that tire by hand a listen for noise in that side of the final drive .

The RH one gets the "load" and would be the more likely one to fail, but I'll bet it hasn't. If bad enough to crap out it's cage,

I'll give you credit for your effort, but you are not going to hear any RH carrier bearing noise over all the racket the 3-gear planetary final drive makes when you rotate the wheel, IMHO!

(quoted from post at 22:54:41 04/11/19) I hope 100% you?re right but I want to look as close as i can before I put it back together

BIG or not, those DEERE carrier bearings can and do fail.

Put him pry dumpty back together again . Couldn?t faint any big metal pieces in the case and can?t see any chipped teeth so I?m not going to tear it apart any farther . I put it in gear and Rocked it back and forth and I can?t see any shafts or gears jumping to indicate a bad bearing
