Simple question I thought!

What spark plug does a Gleaner K with a GM 250 straight 6 take?
I would think I could look that up online easily. I cant find any guide that even has a category to look it up in anymore. Whats up with that?

Whatplug does a GMC,or Chevy 250 take? What number is the plug that came out of it? Ask NAPA. You'd be surprised on what NAPA can find

I am not sure what plug but I just asked the boys at my local parts store for plugs to fit a chevy 250. I told them I wanted autolite and they came up with them. I use 2 different family owned parts stores. What few times I tried the national chain stores they couldn't come up with anything unless it was a car item and you could tell them exact make and model year. I am always showing up at my local store with a broken belt. They measure it and if they don't have it they will have it the next day. If I carried it into a chain store I think they would pass out !

Well, the local NAPA here used to be great, Those guys would go to the end of the earth to find you a part. A new outfit took over a few years ago and I think its lucky if they can find their own door to get in the building. Ive given up on them.

I don't know what plug is in it as its not where I am at the moment.
I just thought I would order a set while I was ordering stuff but guess its not that easy.

Cant believe I couldn't find a listing online anywhere for it.

The Gleaner K was built from 69-76. During that time the head of a 250 was changed from the square seat with a washer to the tapered seat. So, you're going to need to look at the seat and see which you have. The correct square seat would be r45xls in an AC, and the correct tapered seat would be r45ts. I think. YMMV
