Craigslist kubota

Of course not. I'm sure they took it to Mississippi because it didn't sell on for that price in Maine on Craigslist last week.

I wonder how a person could check to see if it is stolen. Other than that I don't see how you could loose if you paid for it when you picked it up.

(quoted from post at 12:55:00 04/03/19) I wonder how a person could check to see if it is stolen. Other than that I don't see how you could loose if you paid for it when you picked it up.

I'd bet my eye teeth you could never touch that tractor with your hand. The seller would likely want you to provide some sort of financial information to hold it, and then would disappear.

It does look like a scam, with the odd price, and I googled the phone no and it has no location, and possible history of scam. Most of the scams that I used to flag were way to cheap and always wanted you to reply to a gmail address.

yes it is a scam, one of two things they are harvesting e mail address for resale or like someone says they want you to wire a deposit, and you never see the tractor.

Doubt they even own that tractor. Probably just a picture snipped out of a magazine. Just change the
location in the CL ad.

The only thing stolen is the pictures, because there is no actual tractor. If you "bite", they say they will ship it to you (after you pay, of course), and if you don't like it, they will come and get it and refund you're money. You can't come and see it because it is stored for shipping or some such.

Items that are priced way too cheap and have a price that's not a round number are always scams. They seem to come in waves. If you look, I bet you can find several more.

Of course it's a scam. There is no tractor.

Most likely they are looking for some fool to wire them money, as Craigslist uses a double-blind email system, so they can't see your email address until they convince you to give it to them. That's a lot of work for a single email address worth only a few cents on the black market.

A neighbor of mine answered one of these ads for a John Deere compact tractor advertised at $2000. The woman he talked to gave him a story about how it was her soon-to-be-ex-husband's and this was a "revenge" sale. Then I pointed out the area code was thousands of miles away and it was a scam. He called her back and asked about the area code. She hung up and refused to answer the phone again.

She just wanted him to send her $2000. There was no tractor.

you can always tell buy the price such as 12345 the when you click on reply info the area code will be on the other side of the country , plus the add will read just like an add written by Kubota

I had a friend that got took for $3K on a Ford truck scam. Truck was priced real cheap, he found it on craiglist, called the seller, and wired them the $3K deposit before he ever told anybody about it. He’s just an old country boy that trusted everybody and was new to the internet.

I actually bought a car that was part of a craiglist scam last year. I was looking for a Lexus ES350 for my wife. I found a nice one listed in Memphis priced about $1500 lower than it should have been. Had trouble getting hold of the seller through text and his texts sounded hokey. I noticed the car in the pics had an Ohio plate on it. The phone number was a California number. I searched for the exact title of the add in Columbus, OH craiglist and sure enough, there was the same exact ad, pictures and description for sale in Dayton, OH. The contact info was different, there were more and bigger pics, and it was priced $1K more.

I ended up buying the car and reported the scammer to our local sheriff’s department. A deputy got involved with the scammer in a text conversation and I never heard anything else.

I found same ad in other cities. Gone today, back tomorrow.
I think there is a place to report scams on craigslist.
