1967 Farmall Cub seat coil spring is frozen

My 6 cub has the metal seat with the large spring on it. My problem is the coil spring is frozen. The seat is frozen in High position and won,t give. What is best way to unfreeze the seat coil? I have loosened the 2 bolts and even tried some heat to it.

Spring isn't frozen it's the seat attachment. Take it apart lots of oil and a hammer.

I would take it off and soak it in a solution of automatic transmission fluid and kerosene for a couple weeks or so.

Do not heat a spring
