Shoes for a back blade

Last winter there was a discussion about shoes for a back blade, this is what I put on ours. I must of found the stainless circles in the scrap dumpster, that's where most of my parts came from! By moving washers around you can change the setting, and being round and allowed to rotate they don't catch on obstructions very often. My problem is they are starting to wear through, and I'm not sure where to get some round pieces of steel, the dumpster is gone! I used to grade a couple of miles of gravel road leading to some remote property we own.

on my rear blade I just set the height about 1 1/2in off the ground when its in float, I don't tear up my gravel

yes its pretty flat I wing it to the sides then push it with the bucket I plow about 1/4 mile of drive

I would put a single tail wheel behind the pivot. It makes a real grader out of them. even better is a screw jack adjustment for depth of cut, or a hydraulic cylinder !! Jim
