OT: One Hit Wonders

"Judy in Disguise" (John Fred and his Playboy Band)

"Incense and Peppermints" (Strawberry Alarm Clock)

Oh, wait, it seems "Strawberry Alarm Clock" had several more hits. (But none that anyone remembers!)

I could be cruising down the road in my 55 chevy, with my favorite girl, in the 60's and that song would come on. Some songs are just favorites. Stan

Greatest One Hit Wonder of all times

"In the Summertime" by Mungo Jerry

John T I have my top 715 50 n 60 hit favorites on my I Pod plus over 8000 Old Time Radio shows
In the Summertime

first to mind was "I Fought the Law" by Bobby Fuller Four. if that song doesn't get you a speeding ticket, I don't know what would.
it appears that they had some other chart songs, but must have been a regional thing.

Merrilee Rush, "Angel of the Morning". Saw her in 1968 at the Civic Auditorium in Chehalis, WA along with Paul Revere and the Raiders. Saw her again 3 weeks ago at "Bowzer's Rock and Do-Wop Show" at the casino in Ridgefield, WA- She can still bring it, and she's still a looker at age 75. Great show- Little Anthony and the Imperials, Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon, The Chiffons, The Tokens (Lion Sleeps Tonight), the Fleetwoods and Merrilee. If the show comes to your area, don't miss it. We're coming to the end of that era- everybody on the show was in their mid to late 70's, and soon they'll be gone.

My boomerang won't come back.

Love it!

I actually have it on worn out 45.
