I lost my dad in a tractor accident 10 years ago. When he died, I inherited his cows. 20 crossbred brood cows, with a good beefmaster influence. Locally, some call them "red floppies". They make really nice mama cows, hardy, easy keepers that raise a good calf, even if the calf is a little floppy. I am taking the last three of his cows to the sale today. They didn't breed back last time. It might not be entirely their fault, my bull was more interested in fighting the neighbors' bull. Regardless, they are old cows now. They have served me well, and I am quite solemn about hauling off the last of Dad's cows. It is nice to know that all but of a handful of my cows are descendants of his cows. I sure do miss that man.

Sorry, it happens, when my father-in-law passed away, couple years later his blue healer started losing ground, it was a sad day at the ranch when Callie was put down.

I lost my Dad in a tractor accident 19 years ago. I still have and use many of his tools everyday. I also have the 2040 Deere he bought new in 1977 and the 3020 and 2520 he farmed with. He bought a new 4020 in 1968 and sold it when he needed down payment money for a farm. He regretted selling it and I was able to buy it back from the neighbor he sold it to a few years ago. Tom

Sorry to hear that, what kind of truck is that? Looks to be in great shape! Looks like it has the gas tank behind the seat in the cab?? My dad had a 63 Chevy 3/4 ton like that!

Why do they call them floppies. Maybe I have some and don't know it. Sorry about your dad. Brother and I was talking and dad past away at 76 and I am 75 and a half now.
