Mahindra 6000 stuck in reverse

Not sure if I spelled that right but close maybe. So got a call this morning form a guy who has this Mahindra 6000 that is stuck in reverse. Any of you have any ideas as to what maybe wrong and what the fix might be??

Not an expert on Mahindra by any means.

But with any manual shift tractor, the fix most likely involves taking the shifter knobs assembly out and manually popping the gear back where it belongs. You might try rocking it back and forth gently to see if it pops back where it belongs. If the tractor is on an incline the weight of the tractor might be holding it in reverse. If that's the case jack the rear end up to get at least one wheel off the ground (Be careful it doesn't roll on you).
