The injector pump has a dipstick on the back side (never saw one before) when running it produces unending stream of air bubbles and no fuel comes back to tank by return line Engine response is very sluggish. Any help will be appreciated. Have talked to a couple of mechanics at dealers and they are evidently just "parts changers".

Did you check flow of fuel to the electric fuel pump and out of the electric fuel pump ? Could be a plugged line or bad electric fuel pump

YUP, check electric lift/supply pump.
IF the supply pump is bad, that means the "pump" doesn't have enough fuel to spare & all you'll get is air back to the tank.
Heres hoping for something simple..
BTW> WHEN was the last time u changed the oil in the pump.??
I take it seeing u never noticed the dip stick, its been awhile.??
It uses the same oil as the engine..

Friend just bought the tractor. It pumps air bubbles out the dipstick hole. How much pressure/ flow should the lift pump have? Tractor has about 400 hours, it is 2008. Thanks for your help.
