Would appreciate some suggestions of where to search for a used and running VH4D Wisconsin engine.

Prefer located in southern MN or northern Iowa

I sold some Wisconsin stuff to a fellow in Ankeny Iowa. He was into rebuilding them. Don't remember a name or other info. Been 5 years or less.

There is a guy near Joliet IL that has parts and complete engines. You can also do a google search

do have many good used parts for the Wisconsin VH 4D engine if this could be of any help. jc

Roger, the fellow in or near Ankeny passed away about a year ago, that is what I was told by his partner anyway. I too have been looking for a VH4D for a skid loader. Replacement engines in that HP range seem to be scarce.
Ron, there is one on CL Sioux City, but he is asking $1000.00. I am going to keep looking.

Rock creek consulting but I believe there in PA. Look them up on the net. Also used to be a Stevens outfit.

I have one on a Deere 780 swather. Not sure if it is a VH4D or a VG4D. It is the bigger option engine for the 780. It ran when parked but that has been 10 years. It had a new muffler at that time. I am in SW Wi reply back if interested and I could check it out some more. I am thinking $250 as is??? Tom

I'm doing this for a friend who doesn't have internet. He needs it for a Bobcat 630 skid loader. If it is easy for you to check could you see if it's the VH4D or the VG4D? Not sure how much difference there is and/or if either would work.

If you run into a brick wall, Nebraska harvestore in Norfolk maybe able to help. They will be be pricey. Also after looking at the flood pics, they may be closed for a while. They sit on low ground near the Elk Horn river.

Ron I checked mine this morning and it is a VG4D. I did determine that mine is stuck so maybe you might want to pass on it? I would take $200 as is. Call some evening if interested 608-623-2851. Tom
