Agrow drill

Hi SV

Do you ever see any agrodrills in the US? Since this video the company has been sold and they moved a little further east of where they started. They have another company as well in the same town that I bought a replacement small seed box from last year. Use it to plant lucerne. They were great to deal with. If you search you will find their new website, don't know if they are exporting machines. The way the Australian dollar is compared to the greenback it could work.

Regards

Matt

I see hoe drills used widely in the wheat areas but never see them used much in the mid-west. Never really knew the how or why of this.

The wheat in the midwest is spring wheat usually, and it's to usually too wet to use a hoe drill, it works better in sandy soils!

Hoe drills work best in hard dry clay getting the seed down into the moisture. I wish our soil was as light as the Midwest soil is I laugh when I see a 2 cylinder John Deere walking along with 3x14 plows 8 inches deep . 3x14 works the guts out of a 70 horsepower tractor in our ground . Back in the day when 706 and 3020 were new they demoed then with 3x14 plows . The neighbor pulls 3x16 Massey with a 2 -155 white and it?s a good load for it a 5.5 mph
