OT: USS Wasp Found In Coral Sea

Technology has advanced to the point that shipwrecks in deep water are now being found regularly.

The wreckage of the USS Wasp was recently found 14,000' down in the Coral Sea.

For those of you who do not know, Wasp was the result of adhering to international treaty for political purpose even though it was well known by those more learned and experienced that potential adversaries would not.

Sadly, US politicians (with VERY few exceptions), nearly all of which know squat about history, have learned nothing and, indeed, are much less knowledgeable than were the folks sitting in the seats of Congress in the 1920s and 1930s.
