Lots of y'all offered advice a few weeks ago when I asked about using a shop vac to clean out the gas tank. It hasn't had gas in it for 4-5 years. In the end I chickened out and removed the tank and cleaned it real good. It's back on and new fuel lines run. Choke issues are next. Thanks to everyone who offers advise here!

Ya done good! Or advices are from experiance. Actually had a shop vac going poumf poumf from just enough fuel air mix. Kinda exciting. Cleaned the tank on my CUB with a pressure washer. First take it off the machine. Stick the wand down into the hole. First soaked it with a couple of gallons of E-85 to loosen up all of the crap.

As soon as he started putting the signs out I knew I wanted one for the barn wall. After the election we went around and got about 10 of em off trees and repainted them with our tractor ride info. Saved one for the wall. You must be in Bama if you knew about Dial time?! Hated the TV jingle.........

Started out with some diesel, shook it around and drained 3-4 times. Then with gasoline. Then Dawn dish soap and high pressure hose. It came out shiney clean!

There is such a thing as a vacuum that runs off of compressed air, but it takes a LOT of air. Removing the tank and washing it out is the best way.

I have a perfect tank looks just like that and it came off an oliver combine. I could never get any takers on it ?
