Another John Deere

Many times over the years I will see a Richie Bro?s auction magazine from western Canada, and it is common to see these lager old 2wd tractors with a loader listed on the sales. This tractor is in pristine condition, and I would say low hour tractor. You just don?t happen across 29-30 year old tractors in my neck of the woods with so few hours. Most farmers here keep livestock traditionally, and tractors work feeding cows and moving manure everyday, and they look the part. This tractor in the video has had a easy life.

There were a lot of those 4000 series tractors around here at one time and are actually still quite a few still going. Not too many still in that shape but a few fairly close thanks to great upkeep. They were really hard working reliable comfortable tractors for their time. Thank you for sharing Rusty.

If you watch at the 4:25 minute mark in the video you can read the actual hours on the meter. Sneaking up on the 7400 hour mark. I'll agree that the tractor looks like new and can assure you that it is all original paint. I've known the owner for 60 years and have been in and around the tractor since it was new in 1990. Not everybody has the dedication to keep their machinery that nice. And that front end loader has moved literally tons of dirt, gravel and snow over the years. One of these days I hope he will get a video done of the 3020 he started farming with almost 40 years ago.

(quoted from post at 01:40:07 03/17/19) Rusty6 In one video doesn?t he show that 3020 and it also looks like new ?
Yes, his 3020 appeared in a previous video but not running. It has not been restored but I think it still looks as good or better than it did in the summer of 1970 (or 71) when he got it.
