80 acres in this piece Jeff . And just for the Adirondack case guy I rolled the dirt uphill just for him

As a kid we had a beer slogan of ?...land of the sky blue waters...?. I heard of Montana?s ?Big Sky Country? and thought our area had a sky that went from one horizon all the way to the other. When I got a chance to work in Montana I realized just how big that sky is. On a return trip on Am Track there was a couple from Chicago behind me. Somewhere around Havre there was a Big Bud tilling a field some distance from the tracks. She commented in her disappointment in not seeing more large equipment. I thought ?Lady, you have no idea?.

DB4600 The neighbors had a a John Deere 9400t pulling a 45 foot chisel plow in tnt field just to the north of where I was he came in and did 80 acre in about 4 hours

That sky gets bigger in the west than back east with all the foliage(trees and such).
I also see why dad and grandpa always said an Oliver plow rolled ground over the best. I was mostly plowing corn stalks so you don't get a lot of debris on top in the spring. Looks like a lot of grass sticking out on top after plowed. Of course that would help with wind and water erosion like that some.

SV, I can see just in my 30 years of working ground here in NH how the soil continually works its way down hill. I am sure that frost action speeds it up a lot.

This plow has bent trip beam on the first bottom I found a used plow for parts I am going to replace that trip beam as quick as the snow melts. The grass in the original post is 3 and 4 feet tall

Showcrop you probably get more rain In a year than
we do in 10 in my 30 years I have not seen the soil
move one inch I wish it did some of the hills would
soon be flat if it moved as much as some guys soil
does
