Rumble in the jungle?

Serious hiking today in the Blue Mountains. It's like a rainforest in the lower levels, humid warm, ferns about 10 tall. 2 cable cars and an inclined railway give access to the valley floor where 2 miles of board walk wind through the remains of an old coal mine. My wife is not a person who enjoys heights, but she was very brave to go on this glass bottomed one....either that or traverse some 1000 very steep steps to the bottom. Very good day, missed all the bad storms in Sydney. Off to some caves....my scary thing...and Canberra tomorrow.

That cable car ride down over the forest is one thing I think I will remember the rest of my life. Beautiful way to see the forest.

Ben, about 2-1/2 hours from Cannaberra is temora. My brother lives near there. Also a very nice aviation museum. Lots of old planes ,restored and flown to airshows. Museum was the Australia tourism award winner several years in a row. My brother used to be the CEO there. If you wanted to drop by my brothers farm you could go flying in his Piper Cub. I would be happy to put you in touch.. Kevin in Central AL

I think that Australia must have one of the most diverse ranges of climate and vegetation on the planet, mind you it's a pretty big place. Great photos, looks like a fun trip.
