The Three Sisters at Echo Point in the Blue Mountaind west of Sydney. 1000 steps to the bottom may tackle it tomorrow. Kinda like a smaller greener Grand Canyon

Mid to low 20s C. A bit cooler tomorrow. It is the start of autumn here. Hope to see some harvest later on.

Hi Ben

You are about 300 odd kilometres east south east of me. If you are looking for harvest don't like your chances much. There may be a bit of hay making happening and it is a bit early to harvest summer crops here. Cotton picking will get going next month in my area. The other problem is we are in a very bad drought in the majority of eastern Australia. On the eastern side of the mountains there will probably be more going on but that is limited due to that is where most of the population live and mainly intensive high value agriculture there. Where are you going while you are down under?

Regards

Matt

Ben there is a good museum at Parks NSW with lots of early agricultural equipment. It was not open when I was there. So we stopped at the tourism information just down the road the nice lady there said if you can wait about an hour I will open it for you and she did. Very worth while. Also the large radio telescope that recorded the first lunar landing is at Parks.

From here to Canberra, Melbourne, Great Circle Road, Ballarat and back to Sydney March 27

Yeah, Plane ride from Vancouver is 14 hrs plus. In retrospect, a stopover in Hawaii would have been a better idea. But, so many places to see, so little time.....

Looks a bit like the Smokey Mountains in Eastern US, canyons are in a rain forest environment, lots of trails and a couple cable cars to explore the area.

Hi Ben

That route you are madly in what we call the higher country. So mostly grazing cattle and sheep. You may see some hay making, they are not big cropping areas. Ballarat is famous for gold mining and has beautiful buildings. Went to BC back in the early 90's and was amazed to find Capt James Cook had been there as well as finding us over here. Enjoy your time in Oz and I hope the people are as friendly as your Canadian folks were to us when we visited.

All the best

Matt

Those sound like very comfortable temperatures, you guys picked a great time to head ove. The temperatures in North America are finally letting up so it won?t be too bad back home when you guys get back.
