Looks like a nice big calf.

Had to have the vet out last week to help with a heifer having trouble, lost the calf and the heifer isn't doing very well.

With this rain going though I went out to check mine and two have calved so far during the night, all four doing great.

Happy Calving.

That is thankfully something I've never had to do. I run nothing but heifer bulls just to avoid it. I checked yesterday morning and found this one. I checked later in the afternoon and had my second for the year.

Glad you were successful.

I pulled numerous when my herd was young. Few show stoppers: One, the calf popped out once mom and I got in sync and as I fell back it came right out on top of me. On another, the heifer, decided to calve on the bank of my pond with delivery lined up down the bank about 3' from the water.....got that just in time. On yet another, in the dead of winter, a cow does dump the calf into the pond and I just happened to catch it in time, get over there and between a slick calf and muddy shore and near freezing temp, managed to get it up on dry land and dried off.

Sorry it ended up under the wrong place.
With SVcummins I sure expected to see the 3020 hooked to the calf. lol.

That's alright. I figured that. Personally I think the 3020 would've been overkill. The JD Buck was probably just the right size.
