Got our first full day in. Toured Sydney, Opera house, Botanical Gardens, lots of Kubota tractors there. Walked over the Sydney bridge, about 150 feet above the water. That's high enough for me, some fools were willing to pay around 100 bucks and attach themselves to a cable and walk over on the upper bridge superstructure! My silo climbing days are long over...Great day here

Good to get away sometimes and see new places.never did find out what those structures are in the second picture.amphitheater?
 
Beautiful pictures!! Not surprising there are lots of Kubota tractors there, not really all that far from Japan. Keep those photos coming. And give us a report on the cost of everyday items, like.... oh , I don?t know..... milk in the stores maybe, lol. Have fun! Bruce
 
Go and see the Botanical Gardens and the Immigrant Museum, great food at the restaurant there. Two of my ancestors went there on "assisted passage" for stealing coin and handling stolen coin. If you are touring try and get to Melbourne, my favorite city with Adelaide a very close second.

Until one actually stands there or goes in the Opera house it is hard to grasp how large a structure it actually 1s. Certainly a work of art. I spent two tours down there with KUBOTA and yes they are pretty strong in that part of the country.
 
Was there about 1970 on a DDG headed to WestPac. The opera house architecture was controversial at the time and many of the locals referred to it as a tram shed with sails.
 
Great pics Centash. I have always wondered about the interior layout of the Opera House, it looks like several different stages/theaters??
