Its A Little Late

But I installed the snow blower on the JD 2140 today. I had dragged it out of the quonset a month ago with plans of installing it but the weather was so cold I held off doing it. Managed to get this far without it but now I'm thinking the easiest way to put it back in the quonset is having it hanging on the 3 point hitch of the 2140. So I blew a bit of snow around the yard and trails just to give the tractor a good warm up. Temp was near the thawing mark anyway and forecast says even warmer the next day or two so that might be the only snow blowing this winter. Got about a half hour of video to edit down for youtube.

Been blowing snow from the yard and county road a couple times a week for the last month or so here in E SD. Wish I could put mine away. Mine is on a 930 Case LP and my son has one on his 830 Case gas tractor.

Man I hate to think of snow we've put through that new 8' Allied blower this winter.

(quoted from post at 19:38:36 03/11/19) Awfully dry it looks like
Yes, we were dry all last year and now a winter of low snowfall. Could be trouble ahead for cropping season if this trend continues. I don't remember a winter when I moved so little snow before. Of course it isn't over yet.

Hopefully things will turn around we had a dry
summer last year and the winter before was terrible
dry . Luckily things shaped up about the middle of
January finally

Mine didn't leave the shed, and my "930" didn't leave the shop (WIP)workinprogress. So I can relate.

I recall you have been dry for a time, your potholes are even drying up.

I?ve been getting all your moisture, all past 12 months, man it doesn?t let up! We are in a flood warning, 3 feet of snow on the ground ditches are frozen hard yet, and an
inch of rain coming in a couple days.

Scary.

(quoted from post at 23:23:07 03/11/19) That?s a nice looking case tractor . I bet that cab is nice and warm .
I noticed that cab too. Reminds me of the Cozy Cab I installed on a 930 back in 1977. Probably the best (and most expensive) after market cab available.

Hang in there casecollectorsd. We're about an hour south of you, and I think I'm seeing signs of spring. Last couple of days have been downright balmy. All of that snow will be in my basement by Sunday!

Rusty that?s a nice looking outfit there . I?ve got a
evaporative type cooler on a combine cab the
blower works but I think there is other parts missing
to make the cooling part work

casecollectorsc That?s good thinking I?m pretty jealous of that tractor and blower . I?m still having the great cab debate on wheather I want one or not I can?t use the farmhand f11 loader if I put a cab on the tractors

This cab cooler had a spinning disk up on the fan that spun the water into the sponge filter. The air drawn through that wet sponge would be cooler and blown into the cab by the fan. It worked ok but I had a lot of trouble keeping a water pump working on it.
