A tradition in many parts of Michigan for fat tuesday...and elsewhere for pre mardi gras. We like the strawberry!

I have lived here all my life and STILL cannot pronounce it. :)

They are all over the stores here in North East Indiana now. I don't remember seeing them a few years ago. They are good!!!

I rest my case. Its one or the other. There was a LONG line at the local bakery this AM. I get mine at supermarket. :)

Local grocery store carries a ton of them this time of year. They sure look good, but are pretty underwhelming IMO.

I was in the service with a guy named Ed Trzebiatowski. When he pronounced it for me, he said "when you see a consonant or two before a "z", it will usually be pronounced "ch". So his name was "Chebatowski". He said there are a few exceptions, but nobody will hold it against you if you don't know them.

So I think this is Potch'-key.

A local grocery store had a benefit comprised of
a paczki eating contest.
They would invite one member from all the surrounding
emergency departments [Fire,Police, EMS.].
The winner then picked a charity for a donation.
One member of our fire dept. did it and came in second
with 19 of those bombs.
He said he didn't eat for two days.
